We did it! (And just in time for their August wedding!)

We drove out to Garland to shoot at her parents’ house. What a great location!
So fun to work with you guys (and chat it up in the car on the drive out!). Can’t wait for August—woot woot!
When Brittany contacted me to tell me that she and Charlie were engaged, I was over the moon with excitement—what a match! And to think they met and fell in love right here in Lincoln while Charlie happened to be visiting from out of state. Not long after that, the two became an official item. Charlie took a job here in town and the two are now well on their way towards the wedding bells waiting for them in Maui. :)
Charlie is now a sports man for the Channel 10/11 news team, and Brittany anchors the morning news at KLKN Channel 8. (She also represented our lovely state as Miss Nebraska in 2009 and was a top 10 finisher at the following Miss America pageant. On top of all that, she’s an incredible dancer and possibly one of the sweetest people you’ll ever know—yet somehow, she remains totally down to earth. Love this girl!)
Needless to say, we had a ball at their shoot.
Maui will be lucky to have you! :)
Phew! We knocked this out in the “Nic” of time! (Did I really just say that!?) :)
With their wedding right on our heels (this August!), we finally made some photo magic happen after 2 reschedules and some serious weather issues. The long wait paid off.

Sometimes, all you can say is—wow. I’ve been lucky enough to have Jenny in front of my lens before, and she has always captivated me with those eyes of hers. This time, she brought Brett with her, and I got to watch the ways in which they captivate each other.

I’m so excited for September! Jenna and Kevin are getting married in West Point, and it’s been entirely way too long since I’ve been up there for a wedding—can’t wait to come back, it’s always a mini reunion or sorts. As an added bonus, On the Fritz will be playing, and I heard there’s a wedding grand march in the works!
July 30th seems like a long way away from the snow covered grounds of today… but as Kara and Kevin could surely tell you… it’ll be sneaking up on us before we know it! :)
Kara has the most gorgeous wavy hair… and Kevin? So comfortable with the camera in his face… we scored some great stuff!
Drizzle is their new puppy… we couldn’t leave her out!

These two love the white stuff. In fact, they regularly head west to Colorado to hit the slopes on their boards.
While we don’t have slopes like they’re used to here in Nebraska, we didn’t have to look far this week to find some of the white stuff. Luckily, we got our shoot in on Monday afternoon, just before things took a turn towards crazy. Travis & Lindsay were troopers… frozen fingers and all!
She’s a flight attendant. He’s a programmer. They’re both adorable. With a May wedding on the calendar… we squeezed in their love shoot tonight with the last few leaves hanging around on the trees in a dazzling display of cooperation from mother nature. :)
It’s been awhile since I busted out the tilt-shift, but shots like this are why I keep reaching for it now and then…
We found one of the few trees around still sporting a full flock of leaves… how nice of it to play along! Meghan and Brandon brought a full picnic basket complete with french baguette, grapes, cheese & cider (and a surprise muffin treat for me!). All the yumminess was wrapped up in true crafty maven style using Meghan’s grandmother’s fabric swatches…
Their first date was the movie “Pride and Prejudice,” so naturally… a leather bound book copy was a must here! (wrapped up old skool style in Brandon’s belt = love)
Meghan and I dished on the adorableness of Brandon’s cheeky smile lines…. so cute!
We did it guys! Full speed ahead for May!
