AsukaBook Webinar Resources: InDesign for AsukaBook

I’ve created this book in both InDesign (for myself) and… under duress…. in Photoshop (by request for other photogs who are self-proclaimed InDesign virgins and wanted my designs in Photoshop format). I’m just happy I lived to tell the tale! :)

I can’t stress enough the importance of learning how to use InDesign in conjunction with Photoshop. They are two fabulous programs… each with their own specific purpose. There is a reason they both exist. Neither one fares well on its own…. but together? They’re best friends. A truly dynamic duo!

Here are the links for the resource files I created especially for the AsukaBook “Ask the Expert” webinar series. I hope you find them helpful! (I’m quite fond of the pdf…. so if you like it, I’d love to hear about it!) Enjoy!

Suzie Hartman - Thanks Khara, the pdf is great! I’ve been a fan of your photography for awhile but when I saw the alphabet book, I knew it was something special! You have a great eye!
As a designer by trade, I’ve loved to see watch how InDesign has become the top layout program, but it couldn’t have done it without the way it works with the other creative suite programs. They truly are a dynamic duo!
I missed the end of the webinar, do you know if they’ll post it on the asukabook site at a later date?

Sheila MacKinnon - Thanks Khara. The webinar was helpful, and PDF even more so. The next time I read my notes, I know I’ll be refering back to your presentation. Fantastic.
I guess it’s come full circle, since the first time I saw your work was the ABC book on the Asuka website. That lead me to your blog, which I look at almost every day. It’s very inspiring. Thanks again. :)

Kelsey Mruphy - Marvelous, Khara! I learned so much from the webinar!! Thank you. You are such and enjoyable leader! I need to find time to sign up for some of your classes. I wish you would do more webinars; they are so incredibly helpful. InDesign is cabable of so much more than most of us know. Are you self taught in the programs?
